Apple has announced that Friday, April 29th will be the official release date for the new version of OS X, 10.4 (Tiger).

It looks like Amazon has it’s pre-ordering pulled at the moment, but I’d assume that it will be back soon. If you’ve already placed your order than you’re a step up… if not check out
eCost. They’re running $113 on pre-orders, free shipping and you can probably dodge the tax.

Or, you could always buy it at The Apple Store for $129 w/ free shipping and probably tax.
