iTunes cracking for Linux
Also in from CNET this week, big dog from Norway Jon Johansen, (who you may remember was the programmer that took some heat when he cracked DVD copy protection), is in the news with a thing to say about iTunes encryption. And more specifically, that he’s decoded the latest iTunes copy protections in response to Apple’s lack of support for the linux community.
There are some fine lines here, like the laws in his country and beating the copy protection layer in iTunes to the punch…. but isn’t this what makes emerging technology in the world market such a great thing.
